forever kind of love.

you know that moment in a movie where you feel your heart catch itself and
get those butterfly feelings in your tummy?

these are some of the most romantic moments and quotes in some of my favorite movies:
i think the notebook might be my # one because:
of how my ultimate love started as a summer romance
under the stars, at the volleyball courts as best friends
and blossomed into something i could never even dream up {love you booboo}.
also a few of the events, themes, line up right with my life.

“They didn't agree on much. In fact, they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time, and they challenged each other every day. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.” - Duke

“If you're a bird, I'm a bird.” - Noah

“So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day. Will you do something for me, please? Just picture your life for me? 30 years from now, 40 years from now? What’s it look like? If it’s with him, go. Go! I lost you once, I think I can do it again. If I thought that’s what you really wanted. But don’t you take the easy way out.” - Noah
 DIRTY DANCING
“Me? I'm scared of everything! I'm scared of what I saw. I'm scared of what I did, of who I am. And most of all, I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life.... the way I feel when I'm with you!” -Baby

“That's not true! You- You're everything!” - Baby
 NOTTING HILL
“Don’t forget I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.” - Anna
 AS GOOD AS IT GETS
“…I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do, and … I watch them, wondering how they can watch you bring their food, and clear their tables and never get that they just met the greatest woman alive. And the fact that I get it makes me feel good, about me.” - Melvin
 SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE
“I thought we would meet only in death.” - Latika
 TITANIC
 {might i add this movie comes out in theaters next year in 3D, yes please!}

“Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me... it brought me to you. And I'm thankful for that, Rose. I'm thankful. You must do me this honor. You must promise me that you'll survive, that you won't give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless. Promise me now, Rose, and never let go of that promise.” - Jack

“…If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love … I love … I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.” - Darcy

“ No! No. You may only call me "Mrs. Darcy"... when you are completely, perfectly, and incandescently happy.”
“Mrs. Darcy…
        Mrs. Darcy…
                   Mrs. Darcy…
                            Mrs. Darcy…”
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE  - up there - weird blogger won't let me insert where i want.

father's day recap.

father's day weekend was great.
dad had a fun time.
saturday we had jason's kids so lots of noise and fun and swimming.
sunday we went to church then
we grilled him bbq chicken and made mashed potatoes, salad, corn, and had rolls too.
jacque, mom & i even made this AMAZING (although time consuming) 3 layer chocolate mousse cake.
it was really quite delicious.
we want to make it again, but it takes a good part of your day,
so we probably won't venture onto that one again any time soon.
we got dad a kindle for father's day.
he not-too-slightly hinted at it vastly the past few weeks at work.
we have a couple patients who have them and every time he'd see one, he'd say loudly enough for me to hear:
"i would really like one of those"
hinting at the PERFECT father's day gift. therefore, i consulted with mom and the other J's and
WAH - LAH his father's day gift, along with a belt {yay! not, haha}
that night we all played phase10.  boyfriend loves this game he was first one to the table to play.
boyfriend is so cute when he plays games.
gets really into it.  loves the game, then hates it.
it was a ton of fun.  we played with the man of the day, DAD, mom, jacque, jacob, and then of course, boyfriend and myself.
dad won, and no, we did not let him win because it was father's day,
he actually kicked our booty at the game.

love you dad! hope you had a great day and enjoy that kindle. xoxo

Jaime and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

and that is all.

ever read that book?

well it's a kids book all about this kid, harry, and his
terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day...
that is how i felt today:
you know the feeling when you wake up and know nothing will go right?
apparently, i woke up on the wrong side of the bed..??.
but just now, as i began throwing myself a pity party,
my person {if you watched early gray's epis you'd get it}  - julie,
just did a funny thing on instant message and totally made my day.
she knows exactly what to do to make me smile and
I LOVE HER.
she is the bestest friend EVER.

*happy 90 months to me & boyfriend*
i love you booboo

17 June 2011

i love dads, not their old school photos on FB.

so i know father's day is this sunday...
and i love my dad, but honestly, this whole thing over on facebook where you post your dad's photo in honor of him for father's day is really,
REALLY starting to
CREEP ME OUT!
i sign on to facebook and see all these men staring back at me,
the photos from their early years really look like creepy mcCreepsters.
photos from the 60's, 70's, 80's and beyond
something about the 70's:
let's talk about chester molester {not actually, but they look liked it back in the day, you know those mustaches and long hair}
i love all of your dads too, but let's go back to our normal photos of our brilliant selves:

i want to see you with:
your dad (not just him by himself)
your favorite friend
your significant other {hey boyfriend}
even those kissy faces you take of yourself in the mirror

anything would be great because for some odd reason
all those men staring back at me kind of give me the heebie jeebies.
now, don't be offended, i don't mean all of them,
but will i admit it to your face? probably not...
depends on if i like your dad or not. haha. JK.
i love them all dearly, just maybe not their photo staring at me instead of your lovely faces.

peace & love and a

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

to all the dads out there and to those who left us too soon.

MUCH LOVE xoxo - j

free five.

i have decided to dedicate this post to our free five
{you know, that list of 5 people in which if you were ever
caught in an elevator with them you are totally free to make out or
whatever with them and never get in trouble for it}
but then again, it's only a list because even if you were stuck in an elevator with any one of these people you'd either feel one of two things:
1. like a complete idiot for ever thinking of them in that way and now completely embarassed as though they can read your thoughts or
2. totally in love with your significant other that there is no way you'd ever betray that trust even with a free 5
my list is extremely diverse in age - in alphabetical order, by first name, let me introduce you to:
daniel cudmore - 6'8" - 'nuff said
david beckham - brit boy - 'ello lovely

jake gyllenhaal - boy next door

ryan reynolds - did you see him in the proposal?
taylor lautner - maybe he could teach me a trick or two?;)
robert pattinson - my REAL brit - never mind to david beckham

now for boyfriend's free 5, and must i say, he has GREAT taste {haha}
they are all quite beautiful women, i approve!

angelina jolie - token bad girl
ashley greene - girl next door & friendly neighborhood vamp
kate beckensale - boyfriend's brit - 'ello beautiful
katherine heigl - blonde bombshell
scarlett johansson - 36" - 23" - 34" - one word: hourglass

who is in your free five?
have any of the same as me or boyfriend?

sarah bear.

her birthday was this past weekend a weekend ago.  she's my lil' baby.
when i was in college i started nannying for the wadsworth's.
sarah bear was only 2 years old. now she is 6!
i went to her birthday at the mcdowell mtn aquatic center.  really fun :)
then on tuesday i took her out on her very first BIG girls night out.
i let her choose dinner and she chose sauce.  now, i have never been there before so i was just as excited as she was for dinner.  i had stopped after work and got her a giant chocolate cupcake.
so i picked her up at 5:30 and took her to sauce.  we ordered some mac n'cheese and a cheese pizza.
it was actually amazingly tasty.  afterward i surprised her with the cupcake.  she asked me where i got it and i said i sneaked it in, she said you sure did, i didn't even see you bring it in.
then i took her to target to pick out a small present since i had previously given her a present at her bday party.
she chose some fun erasers from the $1 section and a super cute tangled polly pocket.
she is growing so fast! i can't wait for the next birthday, which will be sophia's.  i have decide to make it my tradition to take the girls out for their birthdays from now on. :)

driving to sauce

enjoying her mac'n'cheese

happy birthday sarah!! i love you

i khara bout you.

khara was in town this weekend!
she is one of the absolute funnest (& funniest) people i know.
the weekend flew by and we did so much and had an awesome time.
now i am exhausted, body aching and sitting at work
{but had THE BEST time} so i'm okay with that.
friday she met me at my office and got to interact with some of my more colorful patients.
then we headed to gannon's work {dick's sporting goods} saw her and then headed to my side of town.
we picked up some jamba juice (i got white gummy - on the "secret menu" - she got strawberried wild extra banana) and went to my apartment.  khara met elvis, daisy and beethoven and we hung out til about 7 when we went out to dinner.
i told her we were eating at flo's - she envisioned a 50's style diner, whereas, i swore i had told her it was chinese restaurant.  we pull up to the restaurant and a very cute boy is waving at us {it was boyfriend} and khara says "that cute boy" is waving, little did she know it was isa. nonetheless we ate at flo's and had an amazing dinner.  the crab puff appetizers were one of the highlights of the meal :) i could eat an order okay, okay, 2 orders all by myself. then we went down to jester'z comedy improv.  it was quite hysterical.
saturday we woke up made french toast and bacon then went out to the mall.  bath & body works is having an INCREDIBLE sale - getting rid of classic scents, so of course, we went from store to store robbing them of our most favorite scents.  i think i ended up buying 6 candles and some
lotion, shower gel, & body spray.  (i may need to stop at the bath & body works on my side of town today after work) after finishing up at fashion square mall we went over to sprinkles and whispered the word of the day *frosting fight* and each for a cinnamon sugar cupcake for FREE.  khara and i eat got an additional cupcake {mine: strawberry - hers: vanilla chocolate}  that night khara wanted mexican so we went to uncle al's for dinner {aka Ajo Als} she thought i had said uncle al's when in reality i said ajo als.  food was amazing, service not so amazing.
afterward we were on a mission to go to cvs and find the eye drops from my vegas trip that jessica gave to me and that completely woke me up and got me going.  and we found them! could not be more excited for eye drops.  then we went home changed and went out to martini ranch to listen and dance to rock lobster. sunday we awoke and went to the good egg for breakfast. YUM! afterward we headed to people watch and rob bed bath & beyond (yes my original post said this) bath & body works of some more of their excellently priced items.  we eventually met up with boyfriend to see a movie {bridesmaids} hysterically ridiculous then picked up some dinner and headed off to the railroad park over on indian bend to watch the free concert in the park: rock lobster!

rock lobster
they were a HIT this weekend, khara absolutely adored them {especially the bassist} mwaahhahaha

free concert in the park sunday evenings in the summer!
the weekend ended with an early morning bagel run at einstein's then a sad wave and a kiss blown through the windows of our cars as i exited the 101 on my work exit and she continued her way on home.
i can now say she is safe and sound at home and that she is MORE than welcome ANYTIME!
